Yakima Roof Rack Gutter Mount (Thro. cross bar)
The Yakima-Whispbar roof rack has a wing shaped bar for the ultimate in reduction of noise and drag. The gutter mount rack attaches to the rain gutter that is found on the side of the roof of older cars and some commercial/4WD vehicles. It has a broad base to spread the load to create a strong carrying system.
The through/extended style cross bar gives a low profile sporty look while allowing for maximum space across its width for carrying loads. The through bar also provides lots of adjustment for positioning the legs and improves the possibility of re-using the rack on a different vehicle with an appropriate fitting kit.
The cross bar incorporates a T-channel which is accessible by removing the key locking end caps and can be used to fit accessories that have a T-bolt attachment.
