The 9029-40 Vertex four bike carrier bolts securely to a 40mm square tow hitch socket. Its tough American design makes it a heavy duty unit that will hold your bikes securely, looks great and provide years of service.
The Vertex bike carrier tilts away from the vehicle with a simple hand lever giving access to the rear of the car.
Soft rubber cradles cushion the bike and anti-sway cradles are provided to give additional restraint to the bikes. The cradles have channels moulded into them for cables to sit in to without crushing them against the bike frame.
The Vertex bike racks simply bolt onto the tow hitch using the supplied bolt and spanner. Alternatively the STL2 Snug-Tite lock (shown on right) can be supplied as an optional extra.

There are very few options for fitting a bike carrier into a 40mm square hitch socket. Fortunately the option that is available, the Thule Vertex is a great bike carrier. I especially like the effortless tilt mechanism which works superbly. The Vertex carriers are quite heavy when compared to something like the Thule Hang-On range. However, some of our customers like the fact they have a very structural design compared to the more elegant European designs.
