Read Steve's Thule Polar 200 Luggage Boxes
The Polar 200 is Thule's answer to cheap 'knock-off' boxes. It uses the same high quality material, locks and stays as found on more expensive Thule boxes. It is manufactured in Europe and carrys Thule's 5 year warranty. Pretty much the only compromise between the Polar 200 and the comparable Pacific 200 is the use of u-bolts to attach it your racks rather than the ultra quick fast grip claws found on more expensive boxes. Once attached the u-bolt method is a secure as any other attachment method so for the occassional user the extra minutes taken in installation is worth the savings over a higher spec box.
